Having a barbecue at your backyard is one of the best ways to entertain your friends and family during the time you spend together. If you don’t have a grill, you might consider upgrading the one that you have or you could as well look for a new and different type of grill. However, do you understand some of the features that you are supposed to look out for when buying one? In this guide, I will be listing some of the different type of grills that you could possibly get for your backyard.
Different types of grills: Charcoal grill. This type uses the charcoal briquettes as the fuel and the fire power for cooking. When compared to cooking with a gas grill, its more time-consuming and expensive. One of the reasons why it is more common is the smoke flavor that comes with smoking the meat. The only disadvantage of using the charcoal grill is the time involved plus the costs of purchasing charcoal. Gas grill. Being the most common type of grill for your backyard, the gas grills can either use the natural gas or propane. With the most models designed for propane, some could be converted to natural gas very easily. In areas where you are fitted with the natural gas line, its more economical and convenient to use it instead of refilling the propane tanks every time you run out of gas. This type of grill is ideal for guys who want to grill and cook fast with no worries about the charcoal or anything like that. On the downside, there are some disadvantages associated with using the gas grills. First, they are a bit expensive than a comparable charcoal grill. Second, the gas grills will not produce the smoke flavor like the charcoal counterparts. Proper maintenance will ensure that your grill can live for a long time. Electric grills. These type of grills uses the electricity and the meat cook by the use of heated grill plates. There is no fire involved in these grills. Since there are the indoor and outdoor models, they are ideal for city dwellers who have prohibitions by fire regulations from using charcoal or gas grills. They do not have the smoky flavor that is only achieved from the charcoal grill. Portable grills. Just like the name suggests, these grills can be carried from one place to another. They can as well use charcoal or propane. They are perfect for a picnic with your fiancee. The only disadvantage with this grill is that it cannot be used by a large number of people. Before deciding on the best type of grill to purchase, consider different factors. Such could be like the regulations and laws governing your location, the number of people that you will be hosting among other factors.
